Le Ruisseau offers easy access to the elegant resort of Biarritz, famous for its legendary surfing, and in July you can enjoy Europe's premier Surf Festival. Historic Bayonne, with its museums, 16th-century city walls, river frontage, and narrow streets of shops, is well worth a visit.
The nearest beaches are at Bidart (2.5 km), which also has a pretty village square with its classic Basque architecture. St Jean de Luz (10 km) is an attractive resort with a superb sandy bay protected by a breakwater.
Take a trip to La Rhune on the open-carriage mountain railway, which climbs 2,500 feet and offers spectacular views of the mountains and coastline. Exhilarating white-water rafting is available at St. Pée-sur-Nivelle (30 mins), and golf enthusiasts will find several excellent courses within easy reach.

There are two main options, self-drive and fly-drive.
Self drive
We offer Eurotunnel and cross-channel ferries via Dover - Calais, Portsmouth - Caen / Cherbourg / Le Havre / St Malo, Poole - Cherbourg / St Malo, Plymouth - Roscoff, Newhaven - Dieppe, and the longer crossings to Spain: Plymouth - Santander and Portsmouth - Bilbao / Santander.

Overnight stops in France are inexpensive — for example, a family room for four in a B&B Hotel chain is approximately 70 euros.
Fly-drive
As a general rule, the earlier you book your flights the lower the prices. There are a number of flight options:

Deposits are non refundable, cancellation and amendments are in accordance with our terms and conditions
Refundable damage deposit
A damage deposit of EUR 200 is required on arrival. This will be collected by credit/debit card. Your deposit will be refunded in full via credit card, subject to accommodation being left in a clean and satisfactory condition.
Children and beds
Children of any age are welcome.
