Mobile Home FAQ's

WIFI is provided by a local operator please scan for open networks and follow instructions.

 Can we take indoor furniture outside?

No please do not take anything outside, this includes blankets & pillows.

Please report any problems, faults or maintenance issues to Diane & Adam, do not try and fix it yourself.

Diane and Adam will replace the bottle, do not try to do it yourself.

Smoking/vaping is not permitted anywhere inside your mobile home

10:00am. If you are leaving before 7:00am inform the reps and they will check over your mobile home with you the evening before.

Cleaning products and a vacuum cleaner are available on request 24hrs before your departure.

Campsite FAQ's

As the pool opening hours vary per season our onsite reps will advise you of the times during your stay. The swimming pools are heated, and shorts are allowed as long they don’t have metal studs. Inflatables are not allowed.

For campsite facilities opening hours please ask at the main reception or contact Diane & Adam as times change during the season.

At Le Ruisseau Reception.

The campsite requests silence between 22.00 – 08.00. Breaching this rule or any other campsite rule could lead to eviction from the site.

The barriers close at 10:30pm and re-open at 7am.

There are various waste and recycling points situated around the site and you can find these on the map, or contact the reps.

The nearest supermarkets

The nearest supermarkets are Intermarche and Lidl,which are in Bidart. There are Geant and Carrefour hypermarkets at Anglet, in the BAB2 Commercial Centre. There’s also a Le Clerc on outskirts of Biarritz

The onsite shop stocks fresh baguettes and pastries every day. The nearest boulangerie is in Bidart which is a 5mins drive from site.

Nearby Attractions to Visit

La Rhune

30 mins from site is the ‘Petit Train de La Rhune’. Enjoy breathtaking views across the Bay of Biscay as far as San Sebastian and eastwards towards the peaks of the Pyrenees. Restaurants and souvenir shop at the top.

Bayonne

Just 15 mins from Le Ruisseau the historic walled town of Bayonne has an impressive architectural history. See the Gothic Cathedral (a World Heritage site), the ramparts and the Chateaux-Vieux. Visit the Basque Museum and became immersed in the mysteries of the Basque people.

San Sebastian

For a taste of Spain take a trip to San Sebastian, approx. 40 mins. drive from Le Ruisseau. Appointed European Capital of Culture for 2016, the city has a beautiful crescent beach and impressive examples of the French influence on its architecture including building from the Belle Epoque (Golden Age) period.

St Jean de Luz

Twenty minutes from Le Ruisseau this picturesque resort, close to the Spanish border, has a pedestrianised shopping area with numerous restaurants and bars offering a great choice of seafood, traditional Basque dishes as well as classic French cuisine. The fine sand Grande Plage beach is protected by sea walls and is perfect for children with its four beach clubs.

Espelette

This pretty traditional village is the home of the mild Espelette pepper which is an integral part of Basque cuisine. Dating from medieval times, the houses are draped with garlands of peppers drying in the sun. Visit the shop of chocolatier Antton and watch how chocolates are made.

Biarritz

The former whale-fishing town of Biarritz is the largest and most fashionable resort in Southwest France. Take a walk along the metal footbridge (built by the Eiffel workshop) to the craggy Virgin Rock, topped with its statue of the Virgin Mary or just enjoy sunbathing, swimming or surfing at one of the many beaches.

St Jean Pied de Port

For centuries this pretty little town has been an important centre for pilgrims crossing into Spain en route for Santiago de Compostela. From the Old Bridge there is a picturesque view of the church and old riverside houses.

 In the event of an emergency please evacuate the mobile home and assemble at the nearest emergency meeting point.

The primary exit of the mobile home is the main door, however if this is not accessible all windows (with the exception of the kitchen area and bathroom) open fully and can be used as a point of exit.

In the event of a small fire, a fire blanket and a fire extinguisher can be used to tackle the fire if it is safe to do so. These can be found on the wall in the main living room of each mobile home. There are also fire extinguishers in the road outside your mobile home. Please familiarise yourselves with the location of the fire blanket, mobile home fire extinguisher and the external fire extinguishers.

DO NOT PUT YOURSELF OR OTHERS AT RISK BY TRYING TO EXTINGUISH A FIRE UNLESS IT IS SAFE TO DO SO
