Whether you want to relax by the pool, cycle or take long walks in the stunning countryside, or practice your favourite sports, you're sure to find something for everyone at Camping La Garangeoire. There are four large fishing lakes which cater for beginners and fishing experts.

The swimming pool is usually at the centre of a campsite holiday, and you can see why at Camping La Garangeoire. The campsite also has a lagoon with its own white sandy beach, perfect for paddling around or sunbathing on the soft white sand. Camping La Garangeoire has four swimming pools, including a main outdoor pool, a covered pool, a paddling pool, and an activity pool with slides. The outdoor pools are heated for the whole season and in July and August night swimming with music until 21.30.

You can enjoy pedaloes, canoes, and rowing boats on the main lake of Camping La Garangeoire. There are many hiking trails around the lake for you to explore on your own or join in with organised walks. Don't forget to take a tour of the château while you're there, and if you've ever fancied horse riding through trails in the forest, this is the time to try it with the campsite's own equestrian centre.

No campsite would be complete without a fantastic range of activities and La Garangeoire delivers! Enjoy tennis, football, basketball, volleyball, crazy golf, trampolines, go-karting, and archery. Take part in weekly sports tournaments, family Olympics, garden funfairs or explore scenic cycle trails and orienteering routes. And that’s just the beginning, there’s so much more waiting for you!

Enjoy a variety of delicious cuisine at the campsite’s high-quality restaurant, complete with a convenient crèche so you can relax while you dine. During the high season, we recommend sampling cheese and wine at the wine bar, a must for cheese lovers. For those with a sweet or savoury craving, don’t miss one of the campsite’s popular crêpe evenings. Unwind at one of two bars featuring satellite TV, grab a quick bite from the on-site takeaway or stock up at the mini-market with fresh croissants, baguettes and other essentials.

Near Camping La Garangeoire

If you do want to venture further afield, you won't be short of things to do in the Vendée.

You'll find many towns within easy distance of Camping La Garangeoire, but worthy of note is St-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie. This seaside resort is just 12 km away and offers sandy beaches, water sports, and markets three to four times a week.

For a great day out, plan a trip to Puy du Fou — an amazing theme park about 80 km from Camping La Garangeoire. The spectacles include chariot racing, a stunning amphitheatre, gladiators and lions, and falconry displays, to name just a few. The shows are spectacular, and it’s the largest tourist attraction in the Vendée.

Camping La Garangeoire is also popular with hikers and cyclists because of the vast network of signposted routes. The coastal route includes 150 km of track dedicated to cyclists. Routes include coastal paths and cliffs with stunning views and characteristic towns.
