Question: Do we need passports / visas to travel to the EU?

Answer: UK passport holders will require an ESS visa from 12 October 2025 .

You must have a valid passport, which must be valid for at least 3 months from your date of departure from the UK .

You should always keep a separate record of the number, date, and place of issue of your passport in case of loss. In addition, it is helpful to take a photo of your passport details with you, but keep it in a separate place, just in case your passport is lost.
